Western Head Point Surf Guide
Western Head Point on the South Coast is a sheltered reef and point break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the north northeast with some shelter here from north winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast.Surfers ride left hand point. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
