North Assateague(The Wedge) in Maryland is an exposed beach/Jetty break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the west. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. The beach breaks offer left-handers. Best around high tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Hazards include rips and sea-lice.
