Church Bay Surf Guide
Church Bay on the West Coast is a quite exposed river break that has consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the east northeast with some shelter here from southwest winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south. The river break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around low tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Take care of rips and sharks.
