Towan in North Cornwall is a sheltered beach/harbour break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the southwest with some shelter here from southwest winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the west. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around mid tide. Often Crowded.
