The Reef (Culebra) in Puerto Rico is an exposed reef break that has very consistent surf. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Offshore winds blow from the south with some shelter here from north winds. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the north. There is no reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Hazards include - Rocks.
