Tamarama Reef Surf Guide
Tamarama Reef in Sydney South is an exposed reef break that has inconsistent surf. Winter and spring are the favoured times of year to visit. The best wind direction is from the southwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. There is a left hand reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Hazards include rips and rocks.
