A mellow waist high summer swell was ideal for stand up paddleboards and longboards. More power at nearby Rabbit Island but you could sense the frustration as surfers left before the gate closed time of 9pm; well before dark and before the best conditions at high water. Come on gatekeepers; let's have a bit of an extension on these very rare summer evenings when it all aligns and surfers would love to stay a bit longer.
