Porth Colmon on Lleyn is a fairly exposed beach break that has inconsistent surf. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. Offshore winds blow from the southeast. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the ideal wave direction is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around high tide when the tide is falling. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
