Pointe Canon in La Digue is an exposed reef and point break that has inconsistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the northeast with some shelter here from west southwest winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the east southeast. The left reef break is best, but there is a right reef too. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of - Urchins - Rocks.
