Playa de la Griega in Asturias is a sheltered beach break that usually has waves, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the south with some shelter here from east winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest.The break here is a left hand point. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. It very rarely gets crowded here.
