Ocean Reach Surf Guide
Ocean Reach in Phillip Island is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds are from the northeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves as well as left and right hand reef breaks. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for locals, sharks and rocks.
