Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the west southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. It can even get crowded enough to be dangerous.

“Es una buena playa para surfear si veraneas allí. Yo por ejemplo tengo una casa allí, en todo el verano solo habrá olas una os dos veces. En invierno, en cambio, ya que voy muchos fin de semanas, se pueden presentar unas grandes olas. Es una playa que no es conocida en el mundo del surf pero los días de olas salen de sus caparazones todos los surfistas del Puerto de Santa María. A veces, hay olas chiquititas y entretenidas, y los días de temporal, impresiona el tamaño de las olas. Es complicado entrar en el agua pero si lo consigues tendrás un buen día de surf. Suerte!”
