Kawana Beach Surf Guide
Kawana Beach on the North Coast is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the west northwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the east southeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Take care of Shark protected, rips and jellyfish.
