Kapoho Bay Surf Guide
Kapoho Bay in Big Island is an exposed reef break that does not work very often with no particular seasonal pattern. Offshore winds blow from the west northwest. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. The reef provides both left and right breaks. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Beware of urchins, rocks, locals and sharks.
