Hells Gate Surf Guide
Hells Gate in North West is an exposed reef break that usually has waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the east. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. There is a right hand reef break. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for rocks and sharks.
