Belmar in New Jersey is an exposed beach/Jetty break that usually has waves and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the west. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell direction is from the east northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. It's often crowded here. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
