Anclote Island Surf Guide
Anclote Island in Gulf Coast, Florida is a fairly exposed sandbar break. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the west and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Short period wind swells are the rule and the ideal wave direction is from the southwest. The sandbar break provides left and right handers. Good surf at all stages of the tide. A remote wave spot that never gets crowded.
