Funeral Point in Isla Margarita is a fairly exposed beach break that only works when conditions are just right. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the southeast. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. It very rarely gets crowded here. Hazards include urchins, rocks and sharks.
