  6. A very solid long period swell with set waves approaching double overhead on peaks. Heavy wash but a handful of surfers were game. Kudos. Sunny, light offshore, and feeling unusually warm for August at 14C. Blaketown was too big/heavy.
  7. The afternoon SW was a bit strong but it was close to offshore here and making it steep to hollow at times. Very setty with lulls but the biggest sets were well overhead on a peak about 200m west of the jetty. 6-8 surfers out. Sunny and mild for winter.

  10. Plenty of swell and the light SW wind went back to offshore late afternoon. About head-high with bigger sets as two swells combined but there were no takers. Dry and part sunny here but there were heavy showers over the Paparoas and out to sea.

  17. Most of the ingredients were right at this fickle spot at high tide on Saturday afternoon but it fell short because the tide was too full allowing cross-waves from the back of the next bay west to disorganise the shoulder to head-high very long period thick waves. Occasionally lined up. Sunny with a very light offshore.
  18. West Coast Surf:
‘Porth Neigwl: Waves were fairly lined up and chest high as the tide was dropping. It became increasingly messy and smaller by 06.’
