Lajao (Baia dos Golfinhos) Surf Stats

This chart shows the combination of swells directed at Lajao (Baia dos Golfinhos) over a normal July. It is based on 3720 NWW3 model predictions since 2006 (values every 3 hours). The wave model does not forecast wind or surf right at the shore so we have chosen the best grid node based on what we know about Lajao (Baia dos Golfinhos). In the case of Lajao (Baia dos Golfinhos), the best grid node is 25 km away (16 miles). The rose diagram shows the distribution of swell directions and swell sizes, while the graph at the bottom shows the same thing without direction information. Because the wave model grid is offshore, sometimes a strong offshore wind blows largest waves away from Lajao (Baia dos Golfinhos) and away from the coast.
