Windang Island on the South Coast is an exposed reef and point break that has pretty consitent surf. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Offshore winds are from the west. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. There are left and right breaking reefs and in addition, there is also a left hand point break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Be wary of sharks, they are not unknown here.
