Wilderness on the North Coast is an exposed point break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter and spring are the favoured times of year to visit. Offshore winds are from the south southeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Take care of rocks,reef and urchins.
