Tengan in Okinawa is a fairly exposed reef break that does not work very often. Summer offers the favoured conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the west. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the ideal wave direction is from the northeast. A reef breaks right. Sometimes crowded. Beware of rocks and coral.
