Spoutnik in Sal is an exposed reef break that has quite consistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. The best wind direction is from the north northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. A left hand reef break. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for rocks.
