Renaca in Santiago is an exposed beach break that is usually a safe bet. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's sometimes crowded here. Take special care here if it gets very crowded.
