Punta Piedras in Caracas Area is an exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the south with some shelter here from east winds. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the north northeast. A right hand reef. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Beware of rocks,urchins and sharks.
