Praia Brava in Santa Caterina is an exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the northwest. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the east northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Sometimes crowded. Watch out for dangerous rips.
