Ohara in Kanagawa and Chiba is an exposed beach break that only works once in a while. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Works best in offshore winds from the south. Most of the surf comes fis in the form of windswells and the ideal wave angle is from the southeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded.
