Mecana in Pacific is a fairly exposed river break that has quite reliable surf. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. The best wind direction is from the east northeast. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the best swell direction is from the northwest. The river break offers both left and right hand waves. It very rarely gets crowded here.
