Leffingwell Landing in San Luis Obispo is an exposed reef break that has very reliable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the east. Clean groundswells prevail and the ideal swell direction is from the west northwest. A right hand reef. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for rocks and sharks.
