Kurihama in Kanagawa and Chiba is an exposed reef break that does not work very often. The optimum time of year for waves is autumn. The best wind direction is from the northwest with some shelter here from southwest winds. Windswells are much more common than groundswells and the best wave direction is from the south. The reef provides both left and right breaks. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Rarely crowded here. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
