Inchydoney in County Cork is a sheltered river break that only works once in a while with no particular seasonal pattern. The best wind direction is from the north. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The river break offers both left and right hand waves. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
