Frigates in Kadavu Passage is an exposed point break that has reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the east. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest.There is a left hand point break here. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Be wary of rips - they make surfing here dangerous.
