Areias in Azores(Ilha de S. Miguel) is a fairly exposed reef break that has dependable surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds are from the south. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell direction is from the north northwest. A left hand reef. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded.
